Frequently Asked Questions

The following are some frequently asked questions about spring recreational soccer. 

Who is eligible to play Spring Rec soccer?  
Any child who will be five by 3/1/2024 through 8th grade.

When does registration start?  Registration is now CLOSED.
Early- Bird Registration is now open!  Register before February 1st to receive Early-Bird rates!!!


When is the deadline to register? 
 February 15th is last date to register without review from the soccer board.  After February 15th registrations will be accepted only as roster space allows. Fee will increase and to place your player on a waitlist you will need to place credit card hold. Fee will be refunded if there is no room.

Can we register on-line?  
Yes, just click on the registration link under the Recreation tab on our website.

Can we register in person? 
Only online registration is available at www.lacrescentsoccer.org.

When does practice start? 
Practice begins the last week of March or first week of April pending weather and if ground is dry enough. Practices are typically held at Old Hickory or Veterans Park based on age. Practice dates and times are at the discretion of the coach(es).

When do games start?  
April 13 2024 will be the first date for spring games.

How quickly do teams fill up?  
Roster limitations that are established by the league. We will make every effort to find a roster spot for your player.  However; if the roster is full and we don't have enough players to start a second team, we may need to return your registration fee.  You will be contacted in February if this occurs.  The best advice is to register early.  We welcome all players and accept registration on a first come, first serve basis. 

What spring soccer programs are offered?  
U5 - U6 Sparks - pre K and kindergarten.

U7 - U14 Tri-Rivers Youth Soccer League offered to 1st- 8th graders.  Other communities in this league include Tomah, Onalaska, West Salem, Bangor. Holmen, Caledonia, Melrose-Mindoro and Arcadia.

Can we play soccer in the summer? 
Yes. The summer program is a competitive league that is sponsored by Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA).  Click on Competitive tab (above) to get more information.  This program is designed for the soccer player that has that ‘fire in the belly’ to play soccer.

Refund Policy


A refund may be issued to a player prior to the start of the program in which he/she was registered and/or prior to the club incurring costs for the player. A refund will NOT be issued once the program in which the player registered has begun or the club has incurred costs for that player, such as registration or insurance fees. The club may choose to issue a refund at their discretion after a program has begun due to extreme circumstances such as a significant illness or injury.
